I've only got one class scheduled in the near future, and it's coming up.
Peters Valley, New Jersey, June 3-7, 2011. Join us! |
| This was one of my favorite places to teach...New Zealand! It was the kind of workshop where someone would need a torch, and it would just sort of show up from someone's car...I'll never forget the kindness shown me by Brian Adam and Ruth Baird as we traveled around teaching our workshop, Making a Spectacle. If you have a chance, go study with Brian. He's awesome! |

This was the first eyewear class I taught at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine. Amazing class, fantastic people. And what a place. If you ever get a chance to study anything at all at Haystack, go!! I've been lucky enough to be a work study student, a teaching assistant, a teacher, and a board member at Haystack. I loved every role! Gotta return soon!! |
| This was an fantastic group of students at the National College of Art in Dublin, Ireland where my friend Derek McGarry heads the Metals and Jewellry program. We got some gorgeous samples of optical plastics, and the students really did some good stuff with it. |

| I wish I'd taken better notes and better pictures! I've taught this class for twenty years now, and have had some wonderful experiences, meeting people all over the world. I look forward to more. If you're interested in learning about how to make eyewear, please contact me, and we'll figure out a way to make it happen. Often, classes get started just because someone who's interested asks! |
