I've been casting plants from our garden in sterling silver, and constructing jewelry from the cast parts. There are a lot of plant parts in this necklace with a blue moonstone...from the top: hydrangea, sedum, bleeding heart, and Livingstone daisy. What you can't see is the sapphire on the back, near your heart.
brooch This brooch uses a Turtle Wax car polish can from a few decades ago...the beads are faceted turquoise, and the grey plant is oxidized sterling silver.
Brooch: 2.3"x1.5". Sterling silver, copper, painted tin, turquoise. 2008.

The background on this brooch is from an old candy tin from the 60's. The beads are glass, and the plant is a cast sterling stem of purslane from our yard.
Brooch: 2"x1.75". Sterling silver, copper, painted tin, glass beads. 2008.
